School Transition Project

Groups of six P6/7 pupils attend our School Transition Project.  Each week, three afternoon sessions are held by Grey Lodge.  One of these is attended by Our Lady’s pupils, one by Rosebank pupils and one by SS Peter & Paul’s pupils.  Aims of the project are:

  • to build self-esteem, confidence and social skills

  • to overcome challenges/obstacles

  • to reach personal and collective goals

Children participating in the project interact with and lead activities for different community groups.  This provides them with the opportunity to learn life skills which will serve them well when they move from primary school to secondary school.
